Vesak Celebrations 2005
Another successful event. The SLCA wants to thank all members and their families who participated in this event. We had some beautiful decorations, "Thorana" and the Story played was fantastic, "Maligawa", what an effort great piece of work. "Kudu" brought the presence of Vesak to the community. The first "kudu" had 16 attached and the second "kudu" had 5 attached with beautiful colors. Our young generation was fascinated and the objective of SLCA was met. Congratulation to all winners. Once again thanks for all your support and participation.
SLCA of Ottawa is celebrating Vesak on Saturday, May 28, 2005 at 6.00 pm. We invite all members and their families to this event and also look forward to see your very own "Vesak sarasily" creations. Let's take this opportunity to show off talents to our young Sri Lankans, give them a little taste of one of our historic celebrations and make this event a fun and memorable one.
SLCA winner of the best three Vesak sarasily presentations will receive awards. So be brave and enter the competition. We are looking forword to see you all. Come and join us for free goodies ("Dansala") and experience our very first Vesak celebrations and talent that the community of Ottawa has to offer!!!.
